Impressions from my studio

Woodcarving course with Prof. Jo Bukowski. Fascinating the play with the same picture elements, which, when placed in new positions, tell a new story. The smallest shifts can bring a big change. The philosophical aspect is just as interesting. In woodblock printing, the preliminary work, the sketch, is crucial, because every cut has to sit. Even during printing, the color can be experimented with further.

At the cross-border exhibition Museumsnacht Hegau-Schaffhausen (Germany-Switzerland) with 2 other participants I have on the one hand the
video installations "Water" in the cellar vault on the one hand and "Thayngen 1890-2006" on the church tower in Thayngen on the other hand.

This video shot by a colleague, is created during the 2 year preparatory course at the College of Art and Design, Zurich. It is my first oil painting, primed myself and you can see how I apply an acrylic underpainting to then continue to work with oil paint. This variant can be chosen to save oil paint. The picture hung until the end of 2021 in the doctor's office of my then husband. It provided again and again for conversation with his clients.
